Privacy Policy — Hotel IPTV

1 Overview

Hotel IPTV ("the App") is an Android TV application developed and operated by FTTX IPTV (hotel.fttxiptv.com). This application is designed exclusively for use within hotel environments as part of an in-room entertainment and information system.

This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and the choices available to users and hotel operators.

2 Information We Collect

The App collects only the minimum information necessary to provide the service:

Device Identifier (MAC Address / Device ID) — used to identify the TV device within the hotel's IPTV system and assign it to the correct room.
Room Number — assigned by the hotel administrator; used to deliver room-specific content and services.
Network Information — local IP address used to connect to the hotel's IPTV server on the local network.
Usage Logs — basic activity logs (channel changes, service requests) stored on the hotel's private server for operational purposes.

            ℹ️ The App does not collect personal guest information such as name,
            passport number, payment data, or location beyond the hotel premises.
        

3 How We Use the Information

Information collected is used solely for:

Connecting the TV device to the correct hotel IPTV server
Delivering room-specific channels, welcome messages, and hotel services
Processing in-room service requests (room service, housekeeping, etc.)
Enabling Cast / Screen Mirror functionality
Technical troubleshooting and system maintenance by hotel staff

4 Data Storage and Security

All data is stored on servers operated by the hotel or by FTTX IPTV on behalf of the hotel. Data is not shared with third parties, advertisers, or analytics services.

Data transmission between the App and the server uses the hotel's private local network (LAN/Wi-Fi). Remote management communications use HTTPS encryption.

Data retention is controlled by the hotel administrator. Guest-related session data is cleared upon check-out in accordance with the hotel's own policies.

5 Third-Party Services

The App may interact with the following third-party services installed on the TV device:

Google Cast / Chromecast — for screen mirroring functionality (governed by Google's Privacy Policy)
TV Cast by twokit — optional casting application (governed by twokit's Privacy Policy)
YouTube, Netflix, and other pre-installed apps — these apps are governed by their own respective privacy policies and are not controlled by Hotel IPTV

6 Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 years of age. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children. It is operated within hotel environments under the supervision of hotel staff and management.

7 Hotel Operator Responsibilities

Hotel operators (resellers and hotel administrators) who deploy this system are responsible for ensuring their own compliance with applicable local privacy laws and regulations regarding guest data handling within their properties.

8 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
